ON REPERTOIRE

I am a pioneer, a creator. This explains why I've done so much new repertoire, and why I'm doing more improvisation now. Life is play, and I'm here to shine in this lifetime. I want to collaborate on a stunning new work (written in the past or now) that will crack open the hearts of the audience and beg them to question what they are doing here and what it's all about. I am less concerned what range it's in, though I prefer to be used to my maximum capacity, which is a lot.

Up until the pandemic I worked tirelessly so I could develop my voice to its maximum potential. Now I'm having fun, and still carry with me the technical knowledge I've learned to sing the Jugentlich dramatisch Wagner and Strauss. Let me know what is close to your heart, and I'll let you know if it matches what it in mine.

Here are some standard pieces that feel amazing in my voice:

Berg- Sieben frühe Lieder

Barber's Vanessa

Händel- Armida (Rinaldo)
- the Messiah* (my favorite!)

Mozart - Cherubino, Vitellia, Donna Elvira, Annio

Composer AND Ariadne from Strauss' Ariadne auf Naxos

Hänsel or the Witch

Venus from Wagner's Tannhäuser (I would also love to be double cast as Elisabeth!)

Other standard repertoire I love singing:

Berlioz Les nuits d'eté

Respigghi's Il Tramonto

Purcell's Dido and Aeneas

Mazzoli - Song from the Uproar (written for me! love this piece!)

Mozart concert aria “Ch'io mi scordi di te”

Schoenberg Book of Hanging Gardens

Wagner Wesendonck Lieder

Other repertoire I would like to explore:

Händel: Rodelinda, Theodora* (I love singing in English AND Baroque!)

Glück Iphigenie

Mahler- anything!!!!

David Hertzberg!

I’m in for new repertoire and new productions of old repertoire that are deeply questioning the nature of reality, meaning, and what it means to be alive
